Job Description:

About us:

Viscofan is the world leader in the production and distribution of casings, offering a unique value proposition to the meat industry. With a presence in over 110 countries, serving more than 1,700 customers, generating revenue exceeding €1.2 billion, and employing over 5,000 people across 23 countries, the Viscofan Group is not only a market leader but also a pioneer in biotechnological innovation, delivering cutting-edge solutions in both food and medical applications.

We are now looking for a Corporate Plastic Manufacturing Manager to join our Global team. The position will be based in Pamplona, Navarra, but it will involve commuting to the Group’s production plants.

This is a strategic global role for an experienced manufacturing leader who thrives on improving processes, building strong cross-functional teams, and driving innovation across multiple international sites.

What will your main responsibilities be?

  • Define and execute the global manufacturing strategy for the plastics value stream.
  • Coordinate end-to-end operations across multiple subsidiaries — from raw materials to final product delivery.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement and lean transformation initiatives at site level.
  • Promote synergies between local teams and corporate departments (R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Supply Chain).
  • Ensure strict compliance with health & safety regulations, while fostering a culture of zero accidents.
  • Standardize processes and optimize production parameters to increase efficiency, quality, and competitiveness.
  • Supervise key KPIs and support subsidiaries in defining action plans and investment strategies.
  • Coach and develop local leadership teams, supporting training, talent development, and cross-site collaboration.

What do you need to succeed in this role?

  • Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading production teams in an industrial setting.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing (Green Belt minimum).
  • International mindset and proven ability to work in multicultural, multi-site environments.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) — other languages are a plus.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and change management skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work closely with teams on the ground.
  • Play a key global role in driving the future of plastic manufacturing within a leading multinational company.
  • Work in a high-impact position with full exposure to the executive and site leadership teams.
  • Be part of a company that is redefining innovation and sustainability in industrial manufacturing.
  • Join a collaborative, purpose-driven, and multicultural team where your ideas will be heard and your leadership recognized.

At Viscofan, we believe in building a diverse, inclusive, and empowered team. We welcome professionals who bring vision, execution, and leadership to the table.
