Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca is seeking a skilled Cook to join our Culinary team. You will prepare and cook dishes to brand standards, maintain presentation quality, and support a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Based at our Mallorca property, you will work with Sous Chef on menu development, train junior colleagues, and contribute to cost control while upholding luxury hospitality standards and a collaborative team spirit.

Qualifications

• Culinary School or university degree in cooking.
• 2-3 years' experience in Luxury Hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sous Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation and service.
• Supervise and guide kitchen colleagues within your section, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
• Ensure food quality, hygiene, and safety standards are always met.
• Assist with stock control, inventory management, and proper use of kitchen equipment.
• Collaborate with the Sous Chef on menu development, new dishes, and daily specials.
• Train and support junior team members, fostering teamwork, efficiency and skill development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Contribute to cost control by minimizing waste and supporting efficient food preparation during peak service times.

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca, as Cook you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes in accordance with established recipes and brand standards. The role includes ensuring the highest quality and presentation of all dishes, supporting efficient food preparation, and maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe kitchen environment.
