Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Community Health Worker Supervisor for our client in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will lead CHWs, mentor staff, deliver health education, and coordinate with clinics to improve public health outcomes in underserved communities.

Requirements include a relevant qualification in Nursing, Public Health, or Social Work, 3+ years in community health, and at least 1–2 years supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Nursing, Public Health, or Social Work.
• Minimum 3 years in Community Health Worker roles or related program.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of primary healthcare principles and SA health challenges.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
• Ability to train and support a team and collect data.
• Willingness to travel within Queenstown area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor CHWs in Queenstown.
• Provide ongoing training on health protocols and data collection.
• Ensure CHWs deliver health education and basic screenings.
• Monitor performance, conduct field visits, provide feedback.
• Oversee data collection and liaison with clinics.
• Develop strategies to improve community engagement.
• Manage supplies and program logistics.
• Represent the organization in community health meetings.
• Ensure compliance with program guidelines and reporting.
