Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) seeks a Research Engineer - System Validation Engineer to develop, operate and optimize the system-validation framework for ClimateDT in the Destination Earth initiative.

You will run Earth System Models in HPC environments, validate configurations, and deliver detailed reports while improving automation and testing procedures for ongoing scientific workloads.

Formación

• Familiarity with running scientific applications, workflows, or data-intensive computing environments.
• Some experience with programming or scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
• Ability to analyze, diagnose, and document testing outcomes.
• Experience with UNIX/LINUX environments.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and monitor system testing of the Climate DT system across HPC environments.
• Execute validation activities on environments, configurations and software; deliver reports.
• Develop and maintain tools to support testing, with opportunities for automation.
• Diagnose issues and feedback to development teams to improve validation workflows.
• Contribute to integration checks for priority interfaces and validation procedures.
