The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) in Barcelona invites applications for a Workflow Management Software Engineer (RE2). You will contribute to the end-to-end workflow orchestration on state-of-the-art HPC systems, focusing on the Autosubmit engine and ecosystem usability.

You will develop in Python 3, ensure code quality with tests, maintain Git repositories, and collaborate with earth and computer scientists across international teams.

Formación

• Bachelor in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Master's degree will be valued.
• Excellent development skills in Python 3 and OOP, UNIX/Linux environments and scripting languages (bash).
• Experience writing and maintaining tests (unit, functional).
• Fluency in English.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate the development, testing, improvements, and documentation of the Autosubmit workflow engine.
• Contribute to Autosubmit strategy by analyzing user needs and comparing workflow tools in Earth Sciences.
• Identify priorities and contribute to short/medium-term strategy to meet objectives.
• Contribute to convergence and efficiency of different workflows in the department.
• Maintain deployment on various HPC platforms and manage Git repositories and PyPi deployments.
