The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) invites applications for a Research Engineer in System Validation within the Earth Sciences department. The role focuses on testing, validation, and optimization of climate models and associated software in national HPC environments.

You will collaborate with scientists to ensure robust system performance, develop testing tools, and document validation results to support climate research and operational readiness

Responsabilidades

• Operate and monitor system testing of the Climate DT system in HPC environments.
• Run Earth System Models with downstream climate applications.
• Execute system validation on configurations and software; deliver validation reports.
• Develop and maintain tools to support testing and automate validation workflows.
• Diagnose issues found during testing and feed back to development teams.
• Contribute to integration checks for priority interfaces and docs.
