Apex Group in Valencia, Spain seeks a Client Onboarding Specialist to coordinate end-to-end onboarding for Jersey market clients, collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless transitions from Sales to BAU. You will manage onboarding activities, document reviews, and client communications to deliver compliant, high-quality service.

The role requires a degree in Law/Business/Finance, 1–3 years in funds, strong English skills, and a proactive, client-focused mindset within a global team.

Formación

• Degree in Law, Business or Finance or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in the investment funds industry.
• Understanding of funds industry, structures and regulatory needs.
• Knowledge of KYC requirements is a plus.
• Self-starter with the ability to work semi-supervised.
• Strong client-facing, organisational and communication skills.
• Professional level English (spoken and written).

Responsabilidades

Role: Client Onboarding Specialist
Role Location: Valencia (Spain)
Reports to: Regional Head of Client Onboarding

Role Summary:
This role supports the client onboarding function for the Jersey market, acting as a key point of coordination to ensure a seamless transition from Sales to Business-As-Usual. The Client Onboarding Specialist will manage onboarding activities end-to-end, working closely with internal stakeholders and clients to deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality onboarding across Apex’s fund and related service lines.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the client onboarding process by coordinating the key steps to ensure a seamless transition from Sales to Business-As-Usual (BAU);
• Act as a first point of contact for client queriesrelating to onboarding matters;
• Coordinating client adoptions, account openings, review of fund offering documentation and legal agreements, internal system set ups, and project planning;
• Assisting in project coordination, working with internal teams includingService Delivery, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams;
• As part of the onboarding process, the candidate will be expected to provide regular status updates to new clients and internal parties. Weekly project calls should be held with stakeholders and project plans should be maintained to track progress;
• Supporting the drafting and review of client service agreements;
• Interacting with the Legal Department on template management and control;
• Assisting inthe internal review process across different product and service lines within the fund administration, depository and other product lines;
• Provide day to day client onboarding advice across all Apex Group business lines to best meet their business needs and maintaining good working relationships through active communication, facilitation and teamwork;
• Assisting with the development and execution of ad hoc projects;
• Support the wider onboarding team where required. Will report to the Regional Head of Client Onboarding.

Required Skills:

• A degree, preferably in Law, Business, Finance or a related field;
• A minimum of1-3years of experiencewithinthe investment funds industry;
• Understanding of thefunds industry, experience of different fund structures, domiciles and regulatory requirements is an advantage;
• Some familiaritywith fund structuring issues, legal terminology and fund services agreements;
• Knowledge on Client KYC requirements is an advantage;
• Be highly motivated and a self-starter with the ability to work semi-supervised supporting a fast-paced dynamic business;
• Possess team spirit and enthusiasm with the capacity to build strong client relationships;
• Client facing experience;
• Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills and a truly client servicing mindset;
• Professional level of English (spoken and written), every other language is an advantage.
