Job summary

Openbank, Santander Group's digital consumer bank, seeks a Cards & Payments Product Innovation Specialist in Madrid to drive the evolution of our cards and payments proposition with a fintech mindset. You will own product definition, prioritize delivery, and provide clear customer journeys and requirements to delivery teams.

The role emphasizes identifying opportunities, cross-functional leadership, and shaping a scalable digital product suite.

Qualifications

+4 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated product excellence, entrepreneurial drive and tangible product outcomes will be valued above tenure.
Experience in fintech, payments, digital commerce, wallets, card issuing, acquiring or consumer digital products valued; candidates from outside traditional banking encouraged.

Responsibilities

Identify unmet customer needs and translate opportunities into differentiated product concepts and scalable propositions.
Define product vision, value proposition and opportunity pipeline; prioritize initiatives based on value and speed to market.
Define customer journeys, rules, functional requirements and acceptance criteria for viable products.
Use customer insight, market analysis and KPIs to validate opportunities and build business cases.
Coordinate Digital Channels, UX, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Growth and external partners; provide clear product decisions.
Assess fintech, payments, digital commerce developments and partnerships to improve the proposition.
