Job summary

Caely Renewables in Madrid is seeking a Sales Trader to develop the company’s activities in the Spanish market, focusing on energy efficiency projects and CAEs. You will combine technical analysis with commercial efforts to identify opportunities, structure transactions, and create value for clients and Caely.

You will build new relationships, manage an existing portfolio, and grow Caely’s presence in Spain, supported by experienced colleagues while expanding your expertise in environmental

Qualifications

• Native-level Spanish and fluent English.
• Engineering degree or related technical field.
• 3–6 years of experience in energy efficiency.
• Experience analysing, developing, or managing energy efficiency projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of the Spanish CAE system and/or CMVP/IPMVP certification is a plus.
• Experience with Excel, programming, AI tools, or commercial activities is an advantage.
• Living in Madrid.

Responsibilities

• Analyse energy efficiency projects to assess their eligibility under the CAE scheme.
• Identify, calculate, validate, monitor, and develop CAE projects.
• Calculate energy savings and establish project baselines per IPMVP where applicable.
• Develop and maintain relationships with utilities, ESCOs, clients, and other market participants.
• Identify new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, and market research.
• Support the commercial team in managing and developing the client portfolio.
• Structure transactions meeting client needs and Caely's objectives.
• Conduct market research to identify trends in the Spanish energy efficiency market.
• Collaborate with colleagues across functions to develop projects and close transactions.
