Job summary

Stark Future SL, based in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona, seeks a Buyer or Senior Buyer for our Electronics purchasing team. You will manage supplier relationships, review BOMs, and secure components while balancing lead times and cost in a fast-growing electric motorcycle company.

The role requires 3+ years of sourcing electronics and strong negotiation, with English fluent. Spanish is a plus; role based at Barcelona HQ with cross-functional collaboration with Engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sourcing electronic components and assemblies (7+ years for Senior Buyer).
• Knowledge of global semiconductor players and distribution.
• Ability to read a schematic or BOM and spot optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Navigate EMS, component manufacturers, and distributors to secure top partners.
• Act as internal expert on semiconductor trends and supply/demand shifts.
• Review designs and BOMs to find alternative components with better lead times or cost.
• Build relationships with major manufacturers and distributors.
• Run RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs and negotiate Master Purchase Agreements.
• Drive cost reduction and total cost of ownership without compromising tech.

The Role

We are looking for a Buyer or Senior Buyer to join our Electronics purchasing team at Stark HQ in Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona. This is a strategic role that needs a real understanding of the global electronics ecosystem: navigating semiconductor cycles, managing relationships with top-tier manufacturers, and spotting technical opportunities in our designs. You will report to the Electronics & Electromechanics Purchasing Manager and act as the bridge between Engineering and the market.

We are hiring at Buyer and Senior Buyer level. As a guide, Buyers bring 3+ years of sourcing experience, and Senior Buyers 7+ years with ownership of a commodity, supplier portfolio or major negotiations. Apply with the experience you have and we will shape the scope around you.

What You’ll Do

• Navigate the global EMS, component manufacturer and distributor landscape to secure the best partners

• Be the internal expert on semiconductor trends, memory market volatility and supply/demand shifts

• Review designs and BOMs to find alternative components (pin-to-pin or functional equivalents) with better lead times or cost

• Build strong relationships with major component manufacturers and global distributors

• Run RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, and negotiate Master Purchase Agreements that protect our agility

• Drive cost reduction and total-cost-of-ownership models without compromising technical integrity

• Support Engineering early in design to ensure design-for-availability

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years of sourcing electronic components and assemblies (7+ for Senior Buyer)

• An electronics engineering or technical degree, or strong electronics manufacturing experience

• Knowledge of global semiconductor players (TI, ST, NXP, Analog Devices, Rohm, Infineon, Murata and others) and distribution

• Ability to read a schematic or BOM and spot diversification or optimisation opportunities

• Strong negotiation skills, from NRE costs to volume rebates and buffer stock agreements

• Fluent English is a must; Spanish is a plus
