Alexion Pharmaceuticals in Barcelona seeks a seasoned Business Analyst & Data Management Lead to shape end-to-end data and analytics solutions for EUCAN & International. You will anchor the business-facing analytics function, translate requirements into data products, and drive governance, data readiness, and AI-enabled validation across cross-functional teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, data & analytics, life sciences, or related field.
• 7+ years in business analysis, data/analytics delivery, BI, or related function.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into data engineering/BI requirements.
• Strong grasp of data structures, semantic layers, KPI logic, and analytics workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Translate business needs into structured, scalable requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Map requirements, identify data products, and manage scoping for new and evolving solutions.
• Lead prioritization and traceability of requirements across business, ADO, and technical teams.
• Streamline workflows and apply process redesign to improve efficiency.
• Ensure data products and dashboards are trusted, reusable, and aligned with business outcomes.
• Model semantic layers, KPI logic, and align reporting semantics.
• Support data quality, reconciliation, and business validation of data structures.
• Govern datasets with metadata awareness and readiness for FAIR and AI-ready use cases.
• Lead end-to-end lifecycle activities for dashboards, reporting enhancements, and data product changes.
• Drive UAT, validation, go-live readiness, and documentation for business adoption.
• Promote AI-enabled validation and automated workflows with human-in-the-loop controls.
• Help standardize definitions, validation approaches, and onboarding across the region.
• Support governance, continuity, and scalability of the Advanced Analytics & Data Management function.

In this role you shape end-to-end data and analytics solutions for EUCAN & International, aligning business needs with scalable data products. You partner across commercial teams, IT, and data offices to ensure solution integrity and governance. You drive process improvements and explore AI-enabled approaches to boost efficiency and decision-making. You will anchor the business-facing analytics function, turning requirements into trusted outputs that support regional strategy and execution. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a clear impact on reporting, governance, and data readiness.

• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Data & Analytics, Life Sciences, or related field
• 7+ years in business analysis, data/analytics delivery, BI, or related function
• Proven ability to translate business needs into data engineering/BI requirements
• Strong grasp of data structures, semantic layers, KPI logic, and analytics workflows
• Experience with BI/reporting tools, preferably Power BI; initial Power BI development is a plus
• Experience with data warehouse solutions, ideally Snowflake; solid SQL skills
• Experience supporting UAT, validation, and release readiness
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams
• Ability to work in complex, cross-functional, matrixed environments
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills
• Structured, analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Interest in workflow streamlining and technology-enabled process improvement
• Experience applying generative AI in data management or analytics with human-in-the-loop design
