Blu Selection is seeking a Microsoft Data Engineer / Data Analyst for a global leader in insurance, based in Barcelona. You will bridge data engineering, analytics and governance to design, build and optimize trusted data solutions.

Work in an agile environment using Microsoft and Databricks tech, develop data models, ETL pipelines, and Power BI reports, and help enforce data governance, Unity Catalog, and data quality across the platform. Hybrid setup: 2 days remote per week.

Formación

• Hybrid Data Engineer/Data Analytics role experience required.
• Strong Power BI modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
• Proficiency in SQL and Databricks SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Dataverse ecosystems.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and data integration.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and Unity Catalog; English fluency mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Bridge data engineering, analytics, and governance to design, build, and optimize trusted data solutions.
• Design and maintain data models and underlying data structures.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Dataflows and Databricks SQL.
• Develop and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
• Support data migration and platform modernization leveraging Dataverse and Databricks.
• Implement data governance, metadata management, and Unity Catalog, data lineage, and access management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to deliver actionable data solutions.

AND WHAT'S MY ROLE IN THIS? As Microsoft Data Engineer / Data Analyst, you will bridge data engineering, analytics, and governance to design, build, and optimize trusted data solutions. Support the evolution of the modern data platform across Microsoft and Databricks technologies Design and maintain robust data models and underlying data structures Build and optimize data integration and transformation pipelines using Dataflows and Databricks SQL Develop and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models Support data migration and platform modernization initiatives leveraging Dataverse and Databricks Implement data governance, metadata management, and data quality best practices Support Unity Catalog adoption, data lineage, and access management Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to deliver actionable data solutions OK,

• Proven experience in a hybrid Data Engineering, Data Analytics, and Governance role
• Technical mastery of Power BI (Data Modeling, DAX, Power Query)
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Databricks SQL
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Dataverse ecosystems
• Solid experience in Data Integration and ETL/ELT pipeline design
• Demonstrated experience in Data Governance, metadata management, and Unity Catalog
• Strong understanding of data architecture and analytics best practices
• Fluent level of English (mandatory)
