Job summary

XAL is seeking a skilled BIM/CAD specialist to help shape the quality of our digital product data. You will maintain BIM content and create complex Revit lighting families, developing catalogs and ensuring accurate translation of features into .rfa files.

Responsibilities include exporting formats from models, reading technical drawings, and updating product libraries across XAL.com and BIMobject.com, in a fast-changing environment. English language applications only.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education or a comparable professional background.
• Solid understanding of BIM concepts and workflows.
• Excellent knowledge of Revit Family Editor.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Rhinoceros and AutoCAD.
• Experience in the lighting industry is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Create complex parametric Revit lighting product families.
• Develop structured product type catalogs for Revit families.
• Export and post-process .dwg, .3ds and .obj from existing .rfa models.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and installation instructions.
• Translate product features into high-quality .rfa files.
• Maintain and update BIM content on XAL.com and BIMobject.com.
