Job summary

XAL GmbH in Barcelona, Spain, is seeking a BIM data specialist to shape the quality of our digital product data. You will combine technical expertise with precise modeling to maintain a future-oriented BIM foundation.

Responsibilities include creating complex parametric Revit lighting product families, developing structured catalogs for Revit families, exporting and post-processing formats, and translating features into high-quality .rfa files while maintaining libraries on XAL.com and BIMobject.

Qualifications

• Completed technical education or a comparable professional background.
• Solid understanding of BIM concepts and workflows.
• Excellent knowledge of Revit Family Editor.
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Rhinoceros and AutoCAD.
• Experience in the lighting industry is considered an advantage.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic work environment.

Your job:

• Creation of complex parametric Revit lighting product families
• Development and implementation of structured product type catalogs for Revit families
• Export and post-processing of .dwg, .3ds and .obj file formats from existing .rfamodels
• Reading and interpreting of technical drawings as well as installation and mounting instructions
• Translation of product features and functionalities into high-quality, application-oriented .rfa files
• Ongoing maintenance, optimization and updating of product libraries and BIM content on XAL.com and BIMobject.com
