Job summary

XAL GmbH in Barcelona, Spain, is seeking a BIM data specialist to shape the quality of our digital product data. You will combine technical expertise with precise modeling to maintain a future-oriented BIM foundation.

Responsibilities include creating complex parametric Revit lighting product families, developing structured catalogs for Revit families, exporting and post-processing formats, and translating features into high-quality .rfa files while maintaining libraries on XAL.com and BIMobject.

Qualifications

Completed technical education or a comparable professional background.
Solid understanding of BIM concepts and workflows.
Excellent knowledge of Revit Family Editor.
Proficiency in CAD tools such as Rhinoceros and AutoCAD.
Experience in the lighting industry is considered an advantage.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Creation of complex parametric Revit lighting product families.
Development and implementation of structured product type catalogs for Revit families.
Export and post-processing of .dwg, .3ds and .obj formats from existing .rfamodels.
Reading and interpreting technical drawings and installation/mounting instructions.
Translation of product features into high-quality, application-oriented .rfa files.
Ongoing maintenance, optimization and updating of BIM content on XAL.com and BIMobject.com.
