Job summary

Babel Profiles is seeking a Buyer to join its Product team in Barcelona, shaping seasonal purchasing strategies and assortments across channels. You will analyze sales data, manage stock levels, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms.

The role involves close collaboration with Product and Design, Retail, E-commerce, and Logistics to maximize availability and profitability. The ideal candidate has fashion/retail buying experience, strong Excel skills, and data-driven decision

Qualifications

• Previous experience in buying, purchasing, or merchandising within fashion/retail.
• Strong commercial awareness of product performance, sales trends, stock rotation and profitability.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into purchasing decisions.
• Experience managing product assortments, purchasing budgets and stock levels.
• Knowledge of supplier management, price negotiations, production timelines and quality control.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple collections, orders and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan seasonal purchases and collections with Product and Design teams.
• Analyze sales, sell-through, stock levels and trends to guide decisions.
• Manage product assortments across online channels, stores, and markets.
• Monitor budgets, open-to-buy (OTB), and profit margins.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure best prices, quality and delivery terms.
• Place and track purchase orders, ensuring quality and on-time arrival.
• Coordinate stock allocation and replenishment between online and physical stores.
• Suggest replenishments, markdowns, and outlet allocation based on performance.
• Analyze competitors and market trends to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Retail, E-commerce and Logistics teams.
