Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Proposal Specialist to join our Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) team, based in London. You will partner with Managing Directors to lead and professionalise our pitching processes and coordinate production of high‑quality proposals.

You will own the bid process, craft compelling content, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and develop sales materials for client pitches across Spain and wider Europe.

Formación

• Excellent writing and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel; dashboarding/Power BI is a plus.
• Aptitude and interest in leveraging AI tools for proposals and client needs.
• Excellent organisational skills—able to handle multiple live pursuits and deadlines.
• Strong relationship building, communication and influencing abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Background in professional services preferred.

The Team

Our dedicated Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) professionals work with investors and their portfolio companies to provide independent analysis and end‑to‑end services across the investment life cycle that deliver results in every economic cycle.

We are currently looking for a Proposal Specialist to sit within our PEPI team based in London. The main aim of the role is to work with the Managing Directors to lead, develop and further professionalise our pitching processes and project‑manage the production of key proposals. The proposals and pitching function is growing and we need further support in streamlining the production of proposals and enabling us to produce high‑quality materials that best demonstrate our capabilities. You'll help ensure go‑to‑market content is best‑in‑class, organised and accessible to the wider team.

How You Will Contribute

• Working in conjunction with the proposals leader for the business, you will be focused across Spain as well as wider Europe, contributing to the strategic growth of the firm by taking a central role in the preparation and coordination of proposals.
• Owning the bid process; craft compelling, high‑quality proposals that clearly communicate our value proposition, and organise and prepare teams for client pitches.
• Challenge and support technical teams to produce compelling, persuasive and customer‑focused content.
• Preparation of other sales materials such as discussion documents, service offerings and go‑to‑market decks.
• Standardising the process for Proposals – Creds, Bios, and formats.
• Working on maintaining the proposals database for PEPI Spain.
• Supporting the business by acting as the focal point for best practice materials, tools and approaches.
• Maintain the pursuits database and tracking the progress of opportunities through the sales funnel.
• Capture client feedback and ensure best practice is shared across the team.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail to identify subtle errors and inconsistencies.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, MS Word and Excel; dashboarding / Power BI is a plus.
• An aptitude and interest in leveraging AI tools, both internally and for meeting client demands.
• Excellent organisational skills—able to handle multiple live pursuits and deadlines.
• Strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.
• The ability to work well within a fast‑paced, highly focused and deadline‑driven environment.
• Background in professional services preferred.
