Alvarez & Marsal in Madrid is seeking a Director/Senior Associate for our Private Equity Performance Improvement practice to lead end-to-end S&OP transformations and drive digital and AI-enabled operations across PE-backed portfolio companies.

You will partner with deal teams and operating partners to design, model scenarios, implement advanced planning tools, and deliver measurable value across planning, inventory, and working capital, while engaging senior stakeholders.

Formación

• Extensive experience in S&OP, supply chain planning, or operational transformation.
• Proven experience delivering digital transformation or AI-enabled projects.
• Strong understanding of S&OP frameworks, forecasting, and IBP.
• Experience with private equity sponsors and PE-backed portfolio companies is highly desirable.
• Exposure to advanced analytics, AI/ML applications, or digital planning platforms (e.g., Kinaxis, o9, SAP IBP) is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives and operating partners.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus depending on region.

• Lead transformation programmes from design through execution, ensuring sustainable adoption of digital and AI solutions.
• Manage client relationships and project teams, ensuring high-quality delivery for private equity sponsors and portfolio companies.

The Team

A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) practice is looking to hire a Director /Senior Associate with deep expertise in S&OP, digital transformation, and AI-enabled operations across any region. This role is focused on leading and delivering large-scale transformation programmes for private equity-backed portfolio companies, with a particular emphasis on Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand and supply planning optimisation, and the application of digital tools and AI to improve operational performance. You will work closely with PE deal teams and operating partners to drive end-to-end value creation across the value chain.

Qualifications

• Extensive professional experience combining industry and consulting, with a strong focus on S&OP, supply chain planning, or operational transformation
• Proven experience delivering digital transformation or AI-enabled projects within supply chain or operations environments
• Strong understanding of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) frameworks, forecasting, and integrated business planning (IBP)
• Experience working with private equity sponsors and PE-backed portfolio companies is highly desirable
• Exposure to tools and technologies such as advanced analytics, AI/ML applications, or digital planning platforms (e.g., Kinaxis, o9, SAP IBP) is a strong plus
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior stakeholders, including C‑suite executives and operating partners
