Alvarez & Marsal in Madrid is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate to join our Valuation Services team. You will work on diverse valuation and modelling engagements across Europe, delivering high‑quality analyses and client reports to support transactions.

The role requires a strong background in Finance/Mathematics, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and fluent Spanish and English, within an entrepreneurial, collaborative culture that rewards initiative and growth.

Formación

• Demonstrable valuations and modelling experience in a consulting firm, bank, or valuation practice.
• Strong academic record with focus on Finance or Mathematics.
• Solid financial modelling skills and experience with integrated models.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Fluent business-level Spanish and English; other European languages valued.

Associate/Senior Associate, Valuation Services – Madrid

Our Madrid based Valuation & Modelling Services team has been involved in various landmark transactions and engagements. Our independence from audit restrictions allows us to work on a broad range of transaction‑driven assignments, often alongside private equity and corporate clients in dynamic situations. Therefore, we seek to enlarge our team in Madrid with an experienced Valuations professional at Associate / Senior Associate level. Our base salaries are highly competitive with un‑capped bonuses that are well known for both its fairness and generosity. The Team

Our European Valuation & Modelling Services business is dynamic and is expanding rapidly. Over the last 8 years we have established and built teams in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Munich, Madrid and Paris. Our European team works as one joint team, with continuous peer interaction between offices, weekly European‑wide update calls and regular social events and seamless cross‑border staffing on international projects.

Our valuation and modelling services are focused on the areas of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Contentious Valuations (e.g. disputes, litigation), Complex Financial Instruments, Financial and Tax reporting and Business Modelling. After several years of rapid expansion, we have established A&M as one of the leading providers of valuation & modelling services across Europe.

How You Will Contribute

• Work on diverse valuation and modelling engagements across Europe
• Perform high‑quality data and valuation analyses based on various valuation methodologies
• Strong involvement in financial modelling assignments (e.g. deal models, business plans, scenario analysis) in a transaction context
• Write client reports and other deliverables for high profile assignments
• Build relationships with clients through exceptional day‑to‑day project management and execution
• Gain exposure to senior members of the team, leveraging on their substantial experience to learn on the job in addition to formal technical and soft skills training programs offered by A&M globally
• Be encouraged to network internally with our other service lines and to participate in external marketing events
• Work closely with senior stakeholders and clients, gaining early exposure to deal dynamics and decision‑making processes

Qualifications

• Demonstrable valuations and modelling experience gained at a reputable consulting firm, investment bank or independent valuation firm
• Strong educational background and exceptional academic record, including a strong focus on Finance and/or Mathematics
• Solid financial modelling skills and experience building or reviewing integrated financial models
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluent business level Spanish and English are essential; additional European languages are highly valued
• Ambitious with a desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture
• Experience in infrastructure, energy or related sectors is a plus
