Alvarez & Marsal in Madrid is seeking a Senior Associate / Associate to support clients through complex transactions across Europe within the TAG team. You will work with senior team members to deliver high-quality accounting and advisory solutions for Private Equity clients, financial institutions and corporates.

• Strong educational background with focus on Finance, Accounting and/or Mathematics.
• Audit experience (4-5 years) at a Big4 firm; Private Equity exposure advantageous.
• Fluent business-level English and Spanish required; additional European languages advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Handle multiple Transaction Advisory engagements in Spain and Europe with the TAG team.
• Engage with Private Equity houses, corporate clients, and financial institutions.
• Learn from Directors and MDs through deal experience and business development.
• Apply financial analysis to drive deal drivers and valuation discussions.
• Collaborate with operational and commercial professionals on due diligence.
• Network internally and participate in external marketing events.
• Support client relationships and originate new opportunities.

Description

As a Senior Associate / Associate within the TAG team, you will support clients through complex transactions and pan European projects to leading Private Equity clients, Financial Institutions and Corporates. You will work closely with senior team members and clients to deliver high-quality accounting and advisory solutions across a variety of industries.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Work on multiple Transaction Advisory engagements in Spain and across Europe, working closely with our Directors & the wider TAG team.
• Work with a variety of large‑cap and mid‑cap Private Equity houses, corporate clients and financial institutions providing you with broad industry exposure.
• Gain constant exposure to our Directors & Managing Directors leveraging their substantial deal experience and be proactively involved in commercial, business development, and marketing.
• Use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, in addition to gaining exposure to the key drivers and valuation considerations which drive a transaction.
• Work alongside operational and commercial professionals in combined project teams enhancing your understanding of the broader due diligence and wider deal process.
• Network internally with our service lines and work on external marketing events to build cross‑service line relationships.
• Be active in the market, supporting and enhancing existing client relationships and in originating new client relationships.

Essential Experience

• Strong educational background and exceptional academic record, including a strong focus on Finance, Accounting and/or Mathematics.
• Experience in Audit (4-5 years) within a Big4 firm, Private Equity exposure is highly advantageous.
• Fluent business level English and Spanish is essential. Other European languages are highly advantageous.
