Job summary

Opdenergy, a growing renewable energy IPP, is seeking a Storage Engineer based in Sevilla to join the energy storage team. You will contribute to the design, implementation and optimization of storage systems, focusing on lithium‑ion batteries, energy controllers, and emerging technologies, with 2–3 years of experience.

Key tasks include BESS design support, grid integration, performance analysis, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Energy, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in energy storage or renewables.
• Knowledge of battery systems, inverters and energy controllers.
• Experience with grid integration of storage systems.
• Modeling/simulation tools: HOMER, PVSyst, MATLAB, Python.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Collaborate on battery performance data analysis and control systems to optimize efficiency.
• Coordinate storage integration with the grid and other renewables.
• Conduct feasibility studies and system sizing analyses.
• Assist in selecting energy storage suppliers and equipment.
• Ensure safety standards and regulations compliance.
• Monitor trends to improve performance and profitability of storage systems.
