Controls Project Engineer in Barcelona, Spain, will design, program, test and commission PLC controls for automated material handling and warehouse systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and customers to deliver high-quality automation solutions across Southern Europe.

The candidate should have a degree in Mechatronics/Electrical/Industrial Automation or related field, PLC programming experience, and strong knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, Controls Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and PLC-based control applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Native Spanish speaker with a good command of English.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop PLC control software for automated material handling and warehouse systems.
• Lead and execute controls engineering activities throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams across international locations to deliver integrated automation solutions.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with third-party equipment suppliers and software partners.
• Ensure controls projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Perform in-house testing, validation, and troubleshooting of PLC software and hardware.
• Travel to customer sites to commission systems, conduct functional testing, and support customer acceptance activities.
• Support customer go-live and ramp-up phases and ensure a successful handover to the lifecycle services organization.
