N26 is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design and own end-to-end solutions for its global banking platform. You will help build high-availability services, craft scalable infrastructure, and drive production deployments from concept to code to cloud.

You will collaborate with small autonomous teams, apply Domain-Driven Design, and maintain quality through automated tests, CI/CD, and secure, performant services. Hybrid Barcelona office with relocation support available.

Formación

• 5+ years building production-grade software and backend architectures.
• Experience with distributed systems, DDD, and testing frameworks.
• Cloud architectures (prefer AWS) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Commitment to clean code, testing, scalability, and secure services.
• Fluent English with strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in small autonomous teams and provide feedback.

Responsabilidades

Задачи:

• Design and own end-to-end solutions, including the architecture and implementation of highly available, high-performance backend services and platform components from concept through production
• Build tools and automation engines for threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management at scale
• Act as a technical partner to organizational teams by building shared infrastructure and automation
• Maintain high standards for code quality, distributed systems and Domain-Driven Design architectures, automated testing, and platform reliability
• Own the full lifecycle of services using modern CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code for resilient cloud production deployments

Требования:

• 5+ Years of experience building production-grade software applications and managing complex backend architectures in large-scale production systems
• Experience with software development best practices, distributed systems, Domain-Driven Design, and testing frameworks
• Experience with cloud architectures, preferably AWS, and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Commitment to clean code, comprehensive testing strategies, system scalability, and secure, performant services
• Full professional proficiency in English with excellent communication and documentation skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in small, autonomous teams with a strong bias for action
• Ability to give and receive open, direct, and timely feedback, help others succeed, and challenge the status quo
• Nice to have: SRE or security automation experience, event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, data engineering pipelines and automated workflows, Java or Kotlin and Spring Boot
