Job summary
T-Systems is seeking an experienced Engineer to develop and enhance the T Cloud Public platform, leveraging cloud and container technologies. You will solve complex problems in a hyper-scaled cloud backend and perform hands-on hardware-oriented work while contributing to monitoring, QA and automation.
The role requires strong Linux/network security background, infrastructure automation skills, and English fluency. A hybrid work model and international collaboration are offered.
Qualifications
- Must have a strong technical/engineering/scientific background.
- 6 years of IT experience focusing on Linux security and cloud tech.
- Excellent knowledge of software defined networks, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-DDoS and WAF.
- Extensive infrastructure automation experience.
- Strong Linux and network service expertise, IT-Security focus.
- Customer focus and agile process familiarity.
- Ability to assess solutions and propose creative approaches.
- English fluency in written and spoken form.

As an Engineer you understand the latest developments in cloud and container technology. You will develop and enhance our T Cloud Public platform in a customer-oriented manner. You want: Solve complex problems in the daily operation of a hyper-scaler's cloud backend. Work hardware-oriented at the console and get your hands "dirty". Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance. Consistently automate with common automation frameworks. Work in a team of specialists where everyone helps each other in an open and trusting manner.
Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training. 6 years of professional experience in IT and securing Linux OS with a focus on modern cloud technologies. Very good knowledge of software defined networks, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-DDoS, WAF and physical networks. Extensive knowledge in infrastructure automation. Strong experience in Linux and network related services and IT-Security. High level of customer focus. Knowledge of agile development processes. Ability to assess technical solutions and come up with creative approaches. OpenStack and programming experience in open source projects is a plus. Fluency in written and spoken English.
