T-Systems Iberia is seeking an Engineer to advance our cloud platform capabilities. You will develop and optimize the T Cloud Public platform in a customer-focused way.

You will solve complex cloud backend problems, automate infrastructure and monitoring, and work hands-on with Linux, networking, and OpenStack in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 7 years of IT experience with Linux and cloud tech.
• Strong knowledge of SDNs, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-DDoS, WAF and physical networks.
• Automation of infrastructure.
• OpenStack and open source contributions are a plus.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Job Description

As an Engineer you understand the latest developments in cloud and container technology. You will develop and enhance our T Cloud Public platform in a customer-oriented manner.

You want:

• Solve complex problems in the daily operation of a hyper-scaler's cloud backend.
• Work hardware-oriented at the console and get your hands "dirty".
• Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance.
• Consistently automate with common automation frameworks.
• Work in a team of specialists where everyone helps each other in an open and trusting manner.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in a technical, engineering or scientific subject or comparable professional training.
• 7 years of professional experience in IT and securing Linux OS with a focus on modern cloud technologies.
• Very good knowledge of software defined networks, routing, firewalls, IDS/IPS, Anti-DDoS, WAF and physical networks.
• Extensive knowledge in infrastructure automation.
• Strong experience in Linux and network related services and IT-Security.
• High level of customer focus.
• Knowledge of agile development processes.
• Ability to assess technical solutions and come up with creative approaches.
• OpenStack and programming experience in open source projects is a plus.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
