N26 is seeking a Backend Engineer in Lending in Barcelona to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable backend systems in a modern cloud-based microservices environment. You’ll work in a cross-functional fintech team, contributing to secure and well-tested code while staying current with technology trends and collaborating during Get Stuff Done Days.

The role emphasizes hands-on work with Java/JVM, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud architecture, with opportunities to apply Kotlin.

Formación

• Experience developing software using a JVM language and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin a plus).
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably Postgres.
• Experience with modern cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
• Strong bias for action and delivering results.
• Commitment to security and well-documented code.
