Emburse is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the technical foundations of our enterprise-scale SaaS in Barcelona. You will lead architecture, contribute hands-on coding, and drive microservice and cloud-based systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.

In this leadership-in-code role, you’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-impact solutions for expense and invoice management in a fintech setting.

Formación

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years designing and scaling microservices systems.
• Strong background in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Deep expertise in modern object oriented programming.
• Proficiency with Java in a microservice ecosystem.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud-native platform experience, preferably AWS.
• Proven success building and scaling web technologies/SaaS products.
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, and queues.
• Familiarity with Agile development.
