Embat is hiring a Backend Engineer in Madrid to collaborate with product managers and designers in an agile setting. You will design and maintain robust APIs and services, ensuring data security and scalable performance in a fast-growing fintech environment.

You’ll work with NodeJS, React, and a Google Cloud stack, learning quickly and taking ownership of features that deliver real value to customers. The role offers a hybrid model with 40% remote and generous learning opportunities.

Formación

• Experience scaling distributed systems with large data volumes.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture design patterns and coding best practices.
• Ownership mindset and accountability for quality across the team.
• Experience with testing, debugging and production readiness.
• Attention to detail and prioritization.
• Team player who collaborates and learns from others.
• Background in Computer Science.
• Working English and fluent Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Ideate, brainstorm and build impressive financial features with the team.
• Design, develop and maintain APIs and web apps for robustness and security.
