New Relic is building a distributed tracing pipeline team to ingest, analyze, and publish traces at scale. You will help design and maintain a high‑throughput backend, collaborating with product and experience teams to shape the roadmap for our observability platform.

You’ll work with Kotlin, Java, Kafka, Redis and cloud services, applying agile practices and DevOps. The role emphasizes scalability, automation, and AI‑assisted development in a fast‑growing engineering culture.

Formación

• Experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and scaling in production environments.
• Proficiency in Kotlin/Java/Go and ability to adapt to other languages/frameworks.
• Strong English communication skills, collaborating with global teams.

Responsabilidades

• Build, maintain, and scale backend services and their support tools.
• Participate in architectural definitions with high innovation and creativity.
• Collaborate with product and experience teams to influence roadmaps for the distributed tracing product.
• Create automation and tooling to improve scalability and deployment.
• Operate in an Agile/DevOps environment, contributing to on-call rotations.
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate development and debugging.
• Promote a culture of technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
