Job summary

Allianz Technology in Barcelona seeks a data engineering leader to own the target data architecture for the Allianz Data Platform, spanning Synapse, Databricks and Delta Lake. You will design migrations, build reusable data products and apply AI‑augmented development and SDLC frameworks to deliver high‑quality data solutions.

You will collaborate with analytics teams, implement data contracts and quality rules, and drive FinOps with a pragmatic, security‑aware approach in a hybrid work

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering/architecture with 2+ years on Azure.
• Experience delivering data products and platform migrations.
• Familiar with AI‑driven development and SDLC frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target data architecture across platforms.
• Lead migrations between data platforms and validate parity.
• Design, build and publish data products with clear ownership and SLAs.
• Develop pipelines with dbt, PySpark and T‑SQL on Azure Synapse and Databricks.
• Apply AI‑assisted development and SDLC frameworks.
• Review external deliveries for quality and security.
• Drive FinOps and advise on data governance.
