Job summary

Allianz Technology in Barcelona is seeking a Data Engineer to design and operate scalable data pipelines within an Azure-based PIMCO Prime Real Estate data platform. You will build lakehouse architectures, ensure data quality and governance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across an international environment.

The role emphasizes secure-by-design data solutions, DevOps practices, and exploring AI-enabled enhancements to the data platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience building cloud-based data pipelines and platforms.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with Azure data services and Databricks/Spark (Delta Lake).
• Experience with data orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory or Airflow; knowledge of modern data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines on Azure and Databricks.
• Develop ELT workflows with Python/SQL and orchestrate with ADF/Airflow; enable CI/CD automated delivery.
