DWS Corporate Functions Technology seeks a SQL/Oracle database engineer for the SIMS data platform in Madrid. You will model, integrate and optimise data for reporting and transition toward a Snowflake-based architecture.

The role emphasizes data quality, lineage and scalable data pipelines while collaborating with analysts, engineers and stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a Master’s or equivalent in a related field, deep Oracle PL/SQL skills, and experience with Snowflake or cloud

Formación

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or Data Management.
• Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL and relational database development.
• Experience designing, developing and optimizing database objects, interfaces, data pipelines and quality checks.
• Strong understanding of data modelling and complex data structures in regulated environments.
• Snowflake experience is desirable; ability to build Snowflake expertise as part of SIMS modernisation.
• Experience with Data Vault, Medallion Architecture, data lineage and cloud data platforms.
• Ability to understand existing systems in depth and contribute to future-state design.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; collaborative working style.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement database changes and interfaces to support new business requirements.
• Work with analysts and stakeholders to integrate, validate and make data available for reporting.
• Maintain and optimize the Oracle-based SIMS database, including PL/SQL development and performance tuning.
• Analyse data-related queries and ensure stability and timely delivery.
• Develop understanding of the SIMS data model, interfaces and operational processes.
• Contribute to future Snowflake-based platform design and microservice architecture.
• Support data modelling, data lineage, migration approaches and platform engineering patterns.
• Maintain reporting data marts built on a Data Vault architecture.
• Collaborate with wider engineering to support SIMS modernisation strategy.
