DWS Group in Madrid is seeking a Database Engineer, Assistant Vice President to join the SIMS modernisation team. You will design, optimise, and deliver Oracle PL/SQL based data solutions and contribute to a Snowflake based platform.

You will model data, build data pipelines, ensure data quality, and collaborate with analysts, engineers and stakeholders to enable trusted reporting and strategic insights. Hybrid working is offered with diverse career opportunities.

Formación

• Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Strong hands-on Oracle PL/SQL and relational DB development.
• Experience designing, developing and optimising database objects and data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts and complex data structures.
• Experience supporting mission-critical DB applications and performance tuning.
• Snowflake experience is highly desirable; interest in building Snowflake expertise.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; able to collaborate across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement database changes and interfaces to support new business requirements.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to ensure data is integrated and validated.
• Maintain and optimise the Oracle-based SIMS database, including PL/SQL development.
• Analyse data-related issues and ensure timely, reliable reporting.
• Develop and refine data models, interfaces, and data lineage for future platforms.
• Contribute to a Snowflake-based platform and microservice architecture.
• Maintain reporting data marts built on a Data Vault architecture.
• Support the SIMS modernisation strategy with the wider engineering team.
