HOUSE OF ABY seeks an experienced Automotive Project Quality Engineer to lead APQP activities and coordinate PPAP submissions, ensuring CTQs are translated into clear technical specs for engineers and suppliers.

You will drive APQP reviews, manage cross-functional teams, and oversee final PPAP sign-offs while collaborating with Engineering, Industrialization, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to secure product and process quality.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Quality, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within an industrial environment.
• Experience in Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrialization, Methods, or Quality.
• Strong experience managing quality activities related to mechanical components.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for mechanical parts.
• Experience with APQP and PPAP methodologies.
• Quality mindset with attention to detail and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead discussions and challenge cross-functional teams and suppliers.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Fluent Spanish (mandatory).
• Fluent English (mandatory).

Responsabilidades

• Lead the deployment of APQP and ensure successful PPAP delivery.
• Translate CTQ requirements into technical specifications understood by all stakeholders, including suppliers.
• Drive APQP reviews, risk assessments, and quality activities with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Represent the company for final part approval, coordinating PPAP sign-off.
• Assess PPAP deliverables and ensure CTQs are adequately controlled before approval.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Industrialization, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to guarantee product and process quality.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage multiple components (30–70 references) with proper prioritization and planning.
• Identify risks and escalate issues affecting project timelines.
• Support audits and supplier evaluations and process reviews.

From Abylsen we looking for an experienced Automotive Project Quality Engineer to support quality activities for automotive projects and new product introductions.

This position will play a key role in ensuring compliance with customer quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle, leading APQP activities and coordinating PPAP submissions while working closely with cross-functional teams and customers.

Your day-to-day

• Lead the deployment of the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) process and ensure successful delivery of the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
• Ensure that Critical to Quality (CTQ) requirements defined by Engineering are correctly translated into technical specifications and fully understood by all stakeholders, including suppliers.
• Drive and facilitate APQP reviews, risk assessments, and quality activities with both internal teams and external suppliers.
• Act as Schneider Electric's representative for final part approval, coordinating and supporting the PPAP sign-off process.
• Assess PPAP deliverables and ensure all CTQs are adequately controlled before approval.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Industrialization, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to guarantee product and process quality.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage multiple components simultaneously (typically between 30 and 70 references), ensuring proper prioritization and planning.
• Identify risks, anticipate potential impacts on project timelines, and proactively elevate issues when required.
• Support audits and quality assessments, including supplier evaluations and process reviews.

• Strong experience managing quality activities related to mechanical components.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for mechanical parts.
• Experience with APQP and PPAP methodologies.
• Quality mindset with strong attention to detail and continuous improvement orientation.
• Ability to lead discussions and challenge cross-functional teams and suppliers when necessary.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
