AG Solution seeks a Senior MES Presales Engineer to design MES solutions and translate client needs into technical proposals, while supporting project scoping and budgeting. You will engage with Sales and project teams to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery across complex MES implementations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in MES/MOM, experience with TrakSYS/Opcenter/AVEVA, and hands‑on skills in C#, AngularJS, SQL or Python. Bilingual Spanish/English and EU work eligibility preferred.

• 5+ years of on‑hands experience in the MES/MOM field (Ideally TrakSYS, Opcenter, AVEVA)
• Strong pre‑sales experience and mentality with a customer‑focused mindset
• Engineering master's degree preferable, or a professional bachelor's degree in a technical subject and/or an affinity with software development
• Code development expertise with at least one of our most used technologies/programming languages (C#, AngularJS, SQL, Python)
• Definition of implementation strategies and knowledge on MES architecture solutions is a plus
• Experience conducting customer workshops, solution demonstrations, and RFP/RFQ responses is highly desirable
• Knowledge of basic cybersecurity concepts, network segmentation or similar is a plus
• Spanish and English speaking; European work authorization preferred

As part of the MES Team and project Teams, the Senior MES Presales Engineer makes a qualitative contribution to the project within their area of expertise by working independently. The aim is to help ensure that the delivery of a project is completed properly within the predetermined time and scope.

By engaging with customers and prospects, you identify their business challenges, expectations, and operational needs. You help define effective and scalable MES solutions and translate these requirements into technical proposals, solution architectures, and implementation strategies.

What you will do:

• Develop effective and efficient MES solution designs, technical specifications, and high‑level architectures that meet the client's expectations and business requirements.
• Draw up documentation on the activities carried out withing the framework of the project.
• Supervise System Engineers withing the project to make sure everyone makes a qualitative contribution to the project within their expertise under your guidance.
• Ensure the predetermined planning and procedures are respected.
• Attend project meetings always aiming to achieving consensus on the most effective and efficient solution for the client
• Play a techno‑commercial role by supporting the Sales Team in opportunity qualification, solution positioning, project scoping, effort estimation, budgeting, and proposal preparation to ensure realistic and competitive customer solutions.

The ideal candidate :

• + 5 years of on‑hands experience in the MES/MOM field (Ideally TrakSYS, Opcenter, AVEVA)
• Strong pre‑sales experience and mentality with a customer‑focused mindset.
• Engineering master's degree preferable, or a professional bachelor's degree in a technical subject and/or an affinity with software development.
• Code development expertise with at least one of our most used technologies/programming languages. (C#, AngularJS, SQL, Python)
• Definition of implementation strategies and knowledge on MES architecture solutions is a plus.
• Experience conducting customer workshops, solution demonstrations, technical presentations, and RFP/RFQ responses is highly desirable.
• Understanding automation systems (DCS, PLC's, SCADA and Batch Execution systems) is not required but a plus.
• Working with more than x1 MES Technology is a plus, such as Traksys, Siemens Opcenter Process/Pharma, AVEVA MES.
• Experience with Pharma, validation and regulation - is not required but a plus (Optional)
• Experience with Data projects, historians, or similar (AVEVA PI, Canary) - is not required but a plus (Optional)
• Knowledge of modern architectures (UNS, IIOT) - is not required but a plus (Optional)
• Knowledge of basic cybersecurity concepts, network segmentation or similar - is not required but a plus (Optional)
• Spanish and English speaking. Other languages are a plus.
• In possession of a valid driver’s license.
• You are a European citizen or have a valid long‑term European work and stay permit.
• Ideal location : Madrid, Spain. Living in the Madrid/Alcobendas area and able to go to our office and work on customers in Madrid if needed.
