TheFork, a leading European restaurant booking platform, is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, build, and scale test automation and internal tooling using Playwright and TypeScript. You will own test frameworks, contribute reusable components, and drive CI/CD improvements across REST and GraphQL interfaces, while mentoring engineers and promoting quality culture.

• 2–5 years hands-on SDET or QE experience focused on tooling and framework design.

• Design, build, and scale test automation frameworks and internal tooling using Playwright and TypeScript
• Own repositories, design patterns, and the long-term health of the test ecosystem
• Provide clean abstractions, SDKs, utility libraries, and reusable components for developers
• Drive engineering decisions around test layering, fixture design, data isolation, and environment stability
• Partner with feature teams to architect highly testable APIs, frontends, and data pipelines
• Own and optimize Jenkins test pipelines, reducing execution times and eliminating flakiness
• Investigate root causes of instability and slow feedback loops and implement permanent structural fixes
• Experiment with and integrate AI-driven testing tools and LLMs
• Mentor engineers, define quality gates and metrics, and promote a modern Quality Engineering culture

Требования:

• 2 To 5 years of hands-on experience as an SDET or Quality Engineer focused on tooling, infrastructure, and framework design
• Strong Software Engineering background and ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code
• TypeScript or JavaScript experience
• Experience designing and architecting automation frameworks from scratch or at scale
• Deep understanding of test design patterns, the test pyramid, data management, and test isolation
• Strong experience configuring and optimizing CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins
• Experience testing REST and GraphQL interfaces and designing reusable API client layers
• Passion for cross-team collaboration, technical mentorship, and improving developer productivity
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Nice to have: Backend experience with Node.js, Full-stack engineering experience, internal developer platforms, test infrastructure, custom developer CLI tools, advanced Playwright features, Docker, ephemeristic environments, dynamic test data generation, observability tools, SonarQube or SonarCloud, AI-assisted testing, LLM integration
