Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is seeking two Insurance interns to join the Iberia team in Madrid this September. You will gain exposure across the insurers’ value chain, supporting strategy, distribution, value proposition and post‑sales challenges while working closely with Managing Directors and Senior Directors.

• Assist on producing financial and operational modelling and analysis including P&L models and projections.
• Assist on synthesising information after research and analysis into high‑quality client reports and recommendations.
• Help to produce integrated models with balance sheet, P&L and cash flow, identifying key trends and red flags.
• Support Managing Directors and other senior members of the team with client pitch production.
• Find key information on company reporting, know what to look for to understand company business performance and key information.

Purpose of the role

Alvarez & Marsal’s Insurance business is a rapidly growing high‑performance European team. We are currently looking for two Interns to join our Iberia team in September. You will have the opportunity of working across the entire value chain of insurers, supporting our clients in their strategy, distribution, value proposition and post‑sales challenges.

A&M Insurance has a unique delivery model that enables junior members of the team to gain extensive exposure to Managing Directors and Senior Directors, thereby empowering individuals to fast‑track their careers and development. As an Intern, you will be working closely with the rest of the team and gain on‑the‑job learning and development, leveraging their substantial experience.

Requirements

• Studying at a leading university in Business Administration and/or Engineering, or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise – especially in highly pressured situations.
• Some Excel modelling skills.
• Fluent business‑level English and Spanish are essential. Additional European language skills including Dutch, German, Italian or French are highly desirable.
• Strong interest in a career within Consulting.
