Job summary

IE University invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Faculty and Research at the IE School of Architecture and Design, located in Segovia and Madrid, Spain. Qualifications

• PhD in Architecture, Design, Engineering, Design History, Urbanism, or related field.
• Appointment at Associate Professor (with tenure), Full Professor, or equivalent.
• Strong record of research and scholarly publication.
• Sustained record of securing external research funding and major collaborations.
• Experience mentoring faculty and supporting academic career development.
• Experience leading research centers, laboratories, or institutes.
• Experience with promotion, tenure processes and research governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the School’s research strategy.
• Mentor faculty in developing research agendas and publication strategies.
• Advise faculty on promotion and tenure processes.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across the School and University.
• Identify opportunities for external research funding through European and international programs.
• Represent the School on University-wide research committees.
• Contribute to recruitment, mentoring and long-term faculty development.
