Job summary

Costa Navarino is seeking an Assistant Manager for Groups & Events to lead a dynamic team and ensure seamless planning and delivery of groups and events across the resort. You will collaborate with clients and hotel departments, guiding operational planning and continuous improvement while maintaining top service standards.

Role requires experience in Groups & Events, MICE or meetings, plus strong English and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Tourism or related field is preferred.
• Experience in Groups & Events, MICE or meetings, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of group operations, BEOs, room blocks and event spaces.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Groups & Events to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute, learn and grow while helping shape the experiences and impact we create across Costa Navarino.

In this position, you will support the successful planning and delivery of groups and events across the Resort, ensuring a seamless experience from pre-arrival to departure. You will guide the Groups & Events team, collaborate closely with key clients and hotel departments, and contribute to operational planning, team development and continuous improvement while maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the Groups & Events team and delegate tasks according to business needs.
• Oversee complex and high-profile groups and events, including VIP groups, multi-day programs and major events.
• Coordinate room blocks, meeting spaces, BEOs and event requirements with relevant hotel departments.
• Lead or support pre-event, operational and post-event meetings, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Act as a senior operational contact for assigned organizers and VIP clients, ensuring high service standards.
• Monitor group documentation, billing, forecasts and operational systems, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Train and support the G&E team, while assisting the Manager with planning, quality control, reporting and continuous improvement.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Tourism or a related field will be considered an advantage.
• Previous experience in Groups & Events, MICE, meetings or event operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Good understanding of group and event operations, including complex programs, BEOs, room blocks and event spaces.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English. Additional language will be considered an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Opera, Sales & Catering/Event systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
• Guest- and client-focused, with confidence in handling VIP and high-profile events.
