Job summary

MDPI is seeking an editorial support professional to assist in managing journals within a technical domain from its Barcelona office. The role focuses on coordinating peer-review, manuscript formatting, and timely editorial decisions in a collaborative, international setting.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in engineering or related fields, possess advanced MS Office skills, and are fluent in English and Spanish.

• Support the editorial process for journals in your domain of expertise.

Your Responsibilities:

• Support the editorial process for academic research journals centered on your domain of expertise.

• Organize peer-review evaluations for submitted manuscripts and coordinate editorial decisions.

• Be in charge of formatting manuscripts according to our in-house standards.

• Handle e-mail communication between the parties involved in the publication process.

• Collaborate with other members of the editorial and production teams.

• Ensure that scholarly articles are thoroughly edited and published, according to tight deadlines and with a high degree of consistency.

Your Profile:

• PhD's degree in Engineering Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Information Engineering.

• Advanced knowledge of MS office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Excellent English and Spanish skills in written and spoken language.

• Ability to multi-task, attention to detail.

• Experience with scholarly publishing beneficial.
