Job summary

Wizeline in Barcelona is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to shape mobile experiences for global clients. You will drive architecture decisions, implement Kotlin-based apps with Jetpack Compose, and collaborate with product teams to align technical and business goals.

You will optimize processes for development, testing, monitoring, and change management, tackle technical debt, and push for high-impact projects while embracing a hybrid office setup (3 days/week).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android native development experience.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with data structures, system design, patterns, API design, MVP/MVVM, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps.
• Full-stack background and familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Drive technical discussions and decisions, ensuring effective application architecture and programming standards are implemented.

Must-have Skills** **

• 5+ years of Android native Mobile development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with data structures, system design, design patterns, API design, MVP or MVVM, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps.
• A full-stack background is a huge plus. Familiarity with cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc is a plus.
• A passion for news and creativity to introduce new ideas and technologies. If you have a background in journalism, even better

Nice-to-have:

• AI Tooling Proficiency : Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.

This is a position based in Barcelona in a hybrid mode (3 days per week at the office)
