Job summary

American Express is seeking an Analyst Compliance in Madrid (Hybrid) to support GFCC testing and rule optimization within the Testing Center of Excellence. You will analyze large data sets, evaluate rule design, and drive process improvements across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities include investigations, documenting testing outcomes, and collaborating with partner teams to implement test plans and enhancements for detection criteria.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years' experience in Global Financial Crimes or related risk/compliance roles.
• Strong analytics skills to identify trends and translate findings into insights.
• Able to quickly learn and leverage new systems and analytical tools.
• Keen attention to detail in investigation, analysis, and writing.
• Ability to distill complex issues into clear messages for diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
• capable of handling multiple priorities with strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into potential money laundering and suspicious activity.
• Coordinate with GFCC colleagues and partners for testing requests.
• Communicate results clearly with written and verbal reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and testing efficiency.
• Support monitoring testing across multiple jurisdictions and countries.
• Analyze data to validate rule design and performance for optimizations.
• Collaborate with teams to establish test plans and discuss outcomes.
• Recommend improvements to rule logic and data inputs.
• Produce reports detailing testing outcomes and recommendations.
• Contribute to process optimizations and inventory planning.
• Leverage user feedback to inform decision-making.
• Maintain documentation for accountability and traceability.
• Provide AML testing support as needed.
