Hellmann is seeking an AF Gateway Operations Specialist to manage outbound shipments from pickup to customer billing, ensuring timely service and compliance. You will coordinate routing, tracking events, terminal charges, AMS updates, and customs status, while collaborating with brokers and internal teams.

The role requires strong English and Spanish communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office within a logistics office environment.

Formación

• High School Diploma required.
• 1–3 years in freight forwarding preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

This role focuses on delivering high quality results in AF Gateway Operations and contributing to strategic initiatives.This position manages the transportation and compliance of an outbound shipment from pick up to customer billing, ensuring service commitments are achieved and company objectives met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Initiates the shipment processing and confirms the destination leg routing and tracking eventsPays terminal charges and confirms AMS information and customs clearance statusSchedules and monitors airport transfersCreates broker arrival notices for internal or external brokerContributes to implementation of department procedures to maximize productivityAssigns tasks as required to internal departmentsMonitors, assigns, and ensures the resolution of any accounts payable issues within area of responsibilityOpening of inbound mastersDaily tracking of all inbound shipmentsVerify all required documents scanned by originUpdate TMS with all needed milestonesPay terminal chargesArrange transfer, when needed, to HWL whse or offsite CFS under bond (1F)Issue arrival notice to branch which includes Firmscode, LFD, and any other relevant informationBill relevant charges to hawb level and close mawbProvide exception reporting dailyAdditional tasks as assigned by the SupervisorSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not supervise any direct reports.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
