Smartcat is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (AI‑First) to help build an AI-native data foundation across the company. You will partner with Data, Product, Engineering, GTM, and AI teams to enable self‑service analytics, intelligent automation, and agent‑driven decision support.

You will contribute to a modern greenfield cloud data platform, moving from legacy systems toward streaming-first infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on governance, data quality, and scalability.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Analytics Engineering.
• Proven track record designing and operating modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS environments.
• Ability to lead complex projects from design through delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Evolve our data architecture toward a cloud-native AI-first platform.
• Lead transition from batch pipelines to near real-time streaming data.
• Build AI-ready data products and semantic layers for AI agents.
• Raise engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.
