Safeguard Global is hiring a senior data platform leader to shape ingestion, modelling, governance and consumption across the business. You will set the data engineering strategy and guide a team to deliver scalable data infrastructure on AWS.

Collaborate with AI engineering to ensure AI-ready data solutions, own schema design for multi-domain data, and drive governance and quality standards across environments.

Formación

• Extensive experience in data engineering or data platforms.
• Proficient with Apache Iceberg in production environments.
• Expert in dbt for data transformation at scale.
• Hands-on with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena).
• Infra as code using Terraform.
• Strong data architecture across multi-domain environments.
• Experience leading a data engineering team.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the architecture and evolution of the data platform across ingestion, modelling, governance and consumption.
• Own data architecture and schema design for AI products, analytics, and operational consumers.
• Set technical direction for the data engineering team and ensure production readiness.
• Drive data governance including quality, lineage, ownership, and cataloguing.
• Build data infrastructure on AWS using Terraform across environments.
• Partner with AI engineering to make the data platform AI-ready.
• Mentor and develop data engineers to build durable team capability.
• Contribute to strategic technical decisions with the Head of AI.
