Job summary

HP Barcelona is offering an AI, Data & Advanced Manufacturing internship where you will work with global experts to prototype AI agents, build data pipelines and dashboards, and integrate AI-driven workflows for engineering teams. You will connect data through APIs, explore MCP, and gain hands-on experience with HP Multi Jet Fusion in real-world applications.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field and eligible for internship in Spain.
• Basic programming skills, preferably Python, and interest in APIs and data analysis.

AI, Data & Advanced Manufacturing Intern Description - Before applying please note that, to be eligible for this position, you must be currently enrolled at a university in Spain, remain enrolled until the end of the internship, and be eligible to sign an internship agreement with your university.

You must also be available to start the internship in February 2027and continue participating in the program untilJune–July 2027.

Role Overview

As our AI, Data & Advanced Manufacturing Intern, you will explore cutting‑edge AI and digital technologies with global technical experts and customer‑facing teams. We are looking for someone excited to build with AI, not just use it.

Key responsibilities

Prototype AI agents, reusable AI skills, technical knowledge assistants and LLM‑powered workflows that help engineers solve real problems. Create Python tools, scripts and automations; connect data and systems through REST APIs, and explore emerging integrations such as MCP. Analyze industrial data, develop practical data pipelines, visualizations and dashboards, and turn insights into better engineering decisions. Build and demonstrate digital proof‑of‑concepts with our global ATC team, test ideas with users, and improve tools through feedback. Learn HP Multi Jet Fusion and support real customer applications, including part quality, process optimization and production efficiency.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field. Basic programming skills (ideally Python), interest in APIs, data analysis and AI agents. Familiarity with Git, SQL, LLM tools, MCP or automation is a plus. Curious and proactive technology enthusiast with an experimental, hands‑on mindset, analytical thinking, creativity and strong teamwork skills. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Previous experience in 3D printing is not required.
