Descripción del empleo

An exciting opportunity to join an ambitious technology company developing a new generation of high-altitude, long-endurance platforms.

Working at the intersection of aerospace, advanced materials, energy and emerging technologies, this is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys finding better technical solutions, getting beneath the detail and turning promising technologies into proven engineering capability.

As Advanced Materials & Technologies Specialist, you will work closely with engineering, aerostructures and power teams to identify, evaluate and qualify the materials and components that underpin the next generation of platforms.

The opportunity

You will take ownership of the technologies and materials engineering teams can draw upon — from structural and functional materials through to energy and propulsion components.

This includes:

  • Identifying and evaluating new materials, components and technologies
  • Assessing technical datasheets, test results and manufacturer data
  • Working directly with manufacturers and suppliers to establish reliable, verified technical information
  • Coordinating the procurement and testing of samples and evaluation lots
  • Working with workshop and electrical teams to evaluate real‑world performance
  • Building long‑term relationships with specialist suppliers
  • Developing and maintaining a robust, technically verified engineering catalogue
  • Providing critical technical input into design and engineering decisions

This is not simply a procurement role. You will be a key technical contributor, helping an engineering‑led organisation make faster, better and more informed decisions about the technologies it uses.

What we’re looking for

We’re interested in people with a strong technical grounding in areas such as:

  • Materials science
  • Mechanical or aerospace engineering
  • Composites
  • Electric propulsion
  • Aerospace / UAV
  • Motorsport or other high‑performance engineering environments

You should be comfortable interrogating technical data, distinguishing engineering reality from marketing claims, dealing directly with suppliers and maintaining a high level of technical and organisational discipline.

Location

Full time on site in Teruel, Aragón, working hands‑on alongside the technical and workshop teams. Supplier, partner and specialist visits will also form part of the role and may involve international travel.

Why this role?

You’ll be joining a team working to create a new layer of Earth infrastructure — developing persistent, high‑altitude platforms designed to deliver capabilities traditionally associated with space, but in a fundamentally different and more accessible way.

It’s an opportunity to work on genuinely challenging engineering problems, with the freedom and responsibility that comes with being part of an ambitious technology company moving from development towards delivery.
