We are seeking a skilled AIT Engineer to join our Systems team in Barcelona. As an AIT Engineer, you will be responsible for the layout, assembly and integration planning, interface definition, accessibility and maintainability planning, planning of ground handling operations, etc. of launch vehicle propulsion systems and in‑space chemical propulsion systems. You will work closely with the other teams at the company, such as the Mechanical Engineering Department and the rest of the Systems Department, as well as with the individual subsystem owners, to ensure that all relevant factors have been taken into account when it comes to the envisioned layout of the engine system, such as e.g. the effects on nearby components, the expected environment at the location, the accessibility of a certain components, the intended procedure for assembly and integration and the available facilities and support equipment to do so, the logistics of the transport of the subsystems and components, etc. You would also work very closely with the Operations department to lead the execution of assembly, integration, and test activities of the propulsion systems. In this regard you would work as a form of intermediate between the Engineering departments and Operations to translate the engineering designs and plans into executable procedures. This role requires good visualization and problem‑solving skills, and the ability to keep several competing requirements in your mind simultaneously and come up with a suitable compromise. You would need to have relevant experience of AIT from the past. You would be working on all product lines being developed at Pangea Aerospace, including launch vehicle engines and in‑space propulsion systems, and you would also be working on multiple different projects relating to these products. You are expected to bring relevant knowledge into the company, and you would also be expected to be able to take independent decisions and define your own work to a degree.
