Job summary

Puig SL is seeking an Accounts Receivable Executive to manage customer payments from B2B and DTC channels, ensuring accurate accounts and timely reconciliations. You will interact with Wholesale, Ecommerce, Retail, and Spas to maintain clean records and support monthly closing processes.

The role offers opportunities to optimize processes, collaborate across departments, and contribute to a dynamic, global beauty and fashion group with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or similar.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Post payments received (transfers, cash, checks, credit cards).
• Reconcile payments against open items for accuracy.
• Classify payment documents by type.
• Execute weekly payment proposals of rebates and credit notes to customers.
• Perform netting between subsidiaries or AP/AR.
• Handle factoring activities.
• Investigate discrepancies in customer payments or accounts.
• Check and release blocked invoices.
• Create invoices or credit notes for services on demand.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Treasury, Accounting, Global Payments, and Retail Operations to resolve issues.
• Provide status reports on payment activity and account balances.
• Month-end closing reporting of aging and DSO.

The Opportunity

As an Accounts Receivable Executive, you will play a critical role in maintaining the smooth operation of our company's accounts receivable function. Your primary focus will be processing and managing customer payments received from all B2B and DTC channels, including Wholesale, Ecommerce, Retail and Spas, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date account records.

Tasks

• Posting of Payments received: This includes transfers, cash, checks, and credit card payments etc.
• Reconcile Payments against corresponding open items ensuring accuracy.
• Classify by type the payment documents received.
• Execute weekly Payment proposals of rebates and credit notes to customers.
• Perform Netting between subsidiaries or AP/AR
• Factoring
• Analyze and investigate any discrepancies or issues related to customer payments or accounts found.
• Check and release blocked invoices.
• Special invoicing (issue invoices or credit notes for services on demand)
• Collaborate with other departments as Front office, Treasury, Accounting, Global Payments, and Retail Operations Team to resolve incidents.
• Provide reports as necessary on accounts status: payment activity and account balances
• Month-End-Closing Reporting of Aging and DSO.

Additional Tasks

• Develop macros or work with the Robotics team to automate manual, non-value-adding tasks.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives as needed
• Assist in special projects and tasks as assigned by management
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of company policies and procedures
• Stay up to date with changes and best practices related to accounts receivable

Experience: At least 1 year in a similar position
Education: Degree in Business Administration or similar
Languages: English and Spanish (Fluent)
Competencies:

• Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
