Job summary

Ventós Group is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to strengthen our team in Spain. You will review liquidity, process payments domestically and internationally, and manage bank reconciliations with the Accounting team.

The role requires attention to deadlines, strong Excel skills, and English communication with banks and subsidiaries. Experience with Sage XRT and Dynamics NAV/Business Central is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review daily bank balances and liquidity planning.
• Process domestic and international payments with proper approvals.
• Review payment due dates and terms with AP team and creditors.
• Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with Accounting.
• Prepare and update cash flow forecasts for receipts/payments.
• Monitor foreign currency transactions and export documentation for payments.
• Monitor bank fees and liaise with financial institutions.
• Support financing facilities and their maturity dates.
• Assist subsidiaries with treasury-related queries.
• Support closing activities, audits, and banking documentation.

Following our growth and expansion strategy, we are looking to strengthen our team by incorporating a Accounts Payable Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Review daily bank balances and transactions and support liquidity planning.
• Prepare and process domestic and international payments in accordance with established approval and authorisation procedures.
• Review payment due dates and terms, coordinating with the Accounts Payable team and creditors.
• Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Accounting team.
• Prepare and update cash flow forecasts for receipts and payments, identifying potential variances.
• Monitor foreign currency transactions and prepare the necessary documentation for international payments.
• Monitor bank fees and charges and manage issues with financial institutions.
• Support the monitoring of financing facilities and their maturity dates.
• Assist subsidiaries with treasury-related queries and issues.
• Support accounting closing activities, audits, and the updating of banking documentation.

Required Profile

• Higher vocational qualification in Business Administration and Finance, or equivalent.
• Previous experience in treasury, banking operations, and international payments.
• Knowledge of bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and foreign currency transactions.
• Good command of Excel and English for communication with banks and subsidiaries.
• Experience with Sage XRT and Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central will be considered an asset.
• An organised, meticulous, and discreet individual with strong prioritisation skills and particular attention to deadlines and payment controls.
